Dear everyone flipping their shit over Obama saying he supports gay marriage:

You do realize that sort of decision is still handled on the state level, right?

And that Obama isn’t really going to be doing much of anything to promote it, even though he could, right?

Seeing how close it is to election day, he knows how many social liberals are out there. He’s going to say whatever he needs to get more votes; and it’s easy as hell to say “I support something” but then not lift a finger to actually do anything to help that cause. It’s a wonderful way of half-assing something to get a few more people happy while still not doing quite enough to piss enough people off.

Like I mean it’s wonderful that he says he supports it (I’m not sure I believe him though, considering his stance during last election), but he’s not trying to actually help anyone here.

It’s this kind of sneaky sort of shit that really makes me wary of Obama. Just try not to fall under the spell of charisma; because Obama has it in spades, and he knows how to use it. It’s sort of terrifying.
